Black Christmas

 First time we spent Christmas without my father. It's been 3-months already. We've moved on. I guess. But still the memories are lingering in every corner of our house.

But still we push through with the occasion since Christmas was the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ!

 

Bloggers United 4 x World Bazaar!

I was invited by my friend, Jaye Santos to go with him in the Bloggers United 4 held at World Trade Center last December 15. But before our bazaar experience, we dropped by to the SM Mall of Asia for our lookbook photoshoot!

Military

This is my first attempt to create a military inspired look for myself. I was inspired by Jake Gyllenhaal character in Jarhead, "Anthony Swofford". It's one of his best movie I think!

Luckily, I found this very cute harem pants in Capital G at Robinsons Galleria with camouflage details on it.
So, this is it, I just pulled some army green top in my closet and paired it with my GAP cap!

Voila, my first military inspired look! :D

 

I first tried it on white shirt, but I'm not diggin' it!

 

Orange & Patches

Orange and Black, I do look a little spooky in the month of December! LOL

 

I love this cardigan from YRYS, drapey in front and with gray elbow patches!

Fridate!

I had a chance to meet my best friend, Dani after 48 years (lol). We haven't seen each other like for a year already. She got married and given birth but unfortunately I wasn't able to attend in any of those important occasions. (I'm so bad) lol.

Finally,  it happened last Friday! This is our Fri date Holiday with Erwin (Dani's husband).

It was happy mid-night!

Black & Blue

I was excited to visit the Uniqlo store in Mall of Asia last Friday since it was holiday here in Manila. I bought some basic apparel in Uniqlo like Heattech Tees (Black and Purple), Twill shorts and their amazing Leggings. Also, I dropped by in the newly opened Cotton On and found this very cute Baseball cap. I think it was really meant for me since it's their last piece on that day.

Ugh, I was supposed to wear a leggings on this look but the weather is kind of hot that day!
Anyways, I'd definitely wear those super comfy leggings next time.

On Father's Grave

 My mother and I never fails to visit my father's grave every Sunday since he passed away last August.

 

Dance with my Father

It's only now that I can actually talk about my father's sudden demise. I was unable to say anything when
it happened. In July 22, my dearest grand mother passed away, it was so heartbreaking for me. I loved her just like my own mother.

And then August 24 came, the date when my father surrender his life. It was really hard. His sudden demise became a subject of discussion among our relatives and some of his friends. He was healthy and had no health problems. I want to believe that his passing was "a call from God". You can't do anything but to surrender what you have even your own life when he calls you even in the most unexpected time.

Deaths just like my father's really left me speechless. I can truly say that this incident is just a proof to show that death indeed comes like a thief and that bible clearly says “Death comes like a thief”.

It was a hard fact that my Father will not be with us anymore!

Diet Mountain Dew by Lana del Rey

I'm currently loving the music of Lana del Rey. I downloaded the full album and added it on my favorite playlists. So on this look, i was really inspired to somehow incorporate her song "Diet Mountain Dew".
I just look for clothes in my closet that will fit on the subject soda. Haha, great, what an inspiration! =p

I'm still dedicating this look for my late grandparent - Esperanza. I'm wearing her favorite
sweater on this look. I can still remember when she wore this in Hong Kong.  And right now,
I enjoy wearing this especially this times where we are experiencing non-stop rains in
Metro Manila.
